Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) refers to a type of software that organizations use to manage day-to-day business activities such as accounting, procurement, project management, risk management and compliance, and supply chain operations. In general, ERP uses a centralized database for various business processes to reduce manual labor and to simplify existing business workflows. ERP systems typically contain dashboards where users can look at real-time data collected from all across the business to measure productivity and profitability. An ERP software system can also integrate planning, purchasing inventory, sales, marketing, finance, human resources, and more.
